Los pasados días 4-8 de junio se celebró el Pride de Sitges, un evento crucial para recordar la lucha por la igualdad, combatir la discriminación y celebrar la diversidad en todas sus formas, que posiciona a este Pueblo como uno de los destinos turísticos a nivel Europeo más importantes para la comunidad LGTBIQA+.
“El Pride de Sitges es uno de los eventos de la comunidad LGTBIQA+ más importantes de Europa y el único que es gratuito” – nos comenta en exclusiva Aurora Carbonell, alcaldesa de Sitges.
Es un evento único en el que a través del Arte y el entretenimiento se generan espacios y actividades para todo tipo de públicos: familias, jóvenes y personas mayores. Durante todos los días del pride hay actuación de un gran número de artistas y Drag Queens que ofrecen espectáculos de gran calidad y con homenjaes a artistas de talla internacional y clásicos del panorama nacional.
“Los días del Orgullo son un recordatorio de la importancia de la inclusividad, respetar los derechos de las personas a amar libremente y sin miedo”. Comenta Aurora, situando sitges como un espacio seguro para la comunidad LGTBIQA+.
Durante estos días el ayuntamiento de Sitges ha realizado un trabajo impecable, incrementando la seguridad, los servicios de limpieza y de atención a la salud, así como una organización del evento única que hizo que se desarrollara sin incidencias y dejando un buen recuerdo a todos los asistentes.
Finalmente Aurora comenta: “Este evento es gratuito y abierto al público gracias a la participación de distintos sponsors como Addicted – ES Collection, empresas de restauración y asociaciones que gracias a la venta de merchandising, otros productos y servicios así como la participación de voluntarios contribuyen a que este evento pueda seguir siendo, el pride gratuito más completo de Europa.”
